Treating Your Mental Health Needs

Approach

Hope.jpg

I have experience working with children and families and individuals in crisis and struggling with substance abuse. I have worked for years providing psychotherapy to individuals with severe mental behavioral health issues. My therapeutic approach is mainly Strategic and Behavioral, though truly integrative and strength based in nature. I do believe therapy is a process that needs to be defined and molded with each client's special needs at the forefront.

My special interests are crisis management, relationship issues, stress management, depression, anger management, women's issues, trauma, substance abuse (Seeking Safety), and troubled teens. I do believe that like most things in life therapy is a journey that you take with the client to figure out the basis for their challenges and work together to figure out how to heal.

Payment Options

Acceptable forms of payment are: Cash, Major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), PayPal, and Zelle. At this time, I am “in-network” with Optum | United Healthcare & Magellan Health Services. I am happy to provide a Superbill statement if you have a PPO Plan that provides compensation for “out-of-network” providers, which you can submit to the third-party of your choice to seek reimbursement. Please make sure to check with your plan about reimbursement of fees.

We ask that you check your coverage carefully, so you are informed about the benefits offered. Here are some questions to ask:

1.    How much is my co-pay for in-network providers?

2.    Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits? If so, what is the percentage that is covered for out-of-network providers? What is my co-insurance?

3.    What is my deductible and has it been met?

4.    Do I need to obtain prior authorization before starting treatment?

Please be aware that submitting information to insurance companies requires disclosure of personal health information specific to the treatment.

All appointments are booked and managed through my HIPPA Compliant Portal: Simple Practice

Good Faith Estimate:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, which includes mental health care.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, which includes mental health care.

  • You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers.

You are responsible for payment of the agreed upon fee for any missed session(s). You will be billed for a no-show or a cancelation with less than 24 hours’ notice. The fee for missed appointments without timely notification is the full fee of your scheduled appointment.
